England won the T20 World Cup after an era

Jos Buttler-Ben Stokes confirmed the title by losing 5 wickets and keeping 6 balls intact in the target of 138 runs given by Pakistan. By doing this, England got the taste of T20 World Cup title again after 2010.

England won the eighth edition of the T20 World Cup by defeating Pakistan by 5 wickets. This is England's second World Twenty20 title.

Jos Buttler-Ben Stokes confirmed the title by losing 5 wickets and keeping 6 balls intact in the target of 138 runs given by Pakistan. By doing this, England got the taste of T20 World Cup title again after 2010.

England suffered a big blow in the first over of the innings when they came down to bat in the run chase. Shaheen Afridi got off to a good start by sending back Alex Hales in the opening over. Hales was bowled in the last ball of the over and took 1 run from 2 balls.

Haris Rauf hit the England camp after one over. This Pakistani pacer increased the pressure by returning Phil Salt to 10 runs.

Haris Rauf's second victim in the third ball of the sixth over, when Jos Buttler, who scored 26 runs in 17 balls, returned to England, the third wicket fell on 45 runs.

After Phil Salt and Jos Buttler returned quickly, Harry Brook and Ben Stokes took charge of repairing England's innings. Shadab Khan broke through their 39-run partnership in the fourth wicket. Brook, who scored 20 runs, got out when he bowled Shadab in the third ball of the 13th over.

Stokes continued the innings at Marquette despite the departure of his partner. Moeen Ali continued to drag the team to the brink of victory.

Even though Moeen left the field with 19 off 12 balls, Stokes and Liam Livingstone did not get any speed to finish the rest of the work. These two batsmen left the field with 6 balls in hand to secure the second World Cup.

Stokes remained unbeaten with 52 runs off 49 balls. Haris Rauf took 2 wickets for 23 runs for Pakistan.

Earlier, Pakistan lost the toss and batted at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Then Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan could not do much.

Both the openers were not comfortable with the full length ball of the English seamers and the extra bounce of the Melbourne wicket. Rizwan was dismissed in the second ball of the fifth over by Sam Curren. 15 runs from 14 balls with 1 six from the bat of the Pakistani opener.

England kept the Pakistani batsmen under control in the power play. Besides taking the wicket of Mohammad Rizwan in the first 6 overs, the English bowlers gave 39 runs.

Pakistan, who lost the first wicket by 29 runs, was in trouble due to the spin of Adil Rashid.

In the first ball of the eighth over of the innings, Rashid was caught by Ben Stokes at long on when he hit Rashid down the wicket, who scored 8 runs from 12 balls. Then he took the wicket of Pakistan skipper Babar Azam in the 12th over.

32 from 28 balls came from the bat of the Pakistan captain before being cut and bowled by Adil.

Shaan Masood and Shadab Khan embarked on a mission to pull the team in trouble after losing the top order. But in the 17th over of the innings, when Masood, who made 38 off 28 balls, departed, Pakistan's batting lineup collapsed.

Shadab Khan was picked up by Chris Jordan in the next over. And that gave England the hope of stopping Pakistan a little bit.

In the end, Pakistan managed to score 137 runs on the scoreboard after losing 8 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. For England, Karen took 3 for 12 runs and Rashid took 2 wickets for 22 runs.
