Verified Twitter account can cost $20 per month

Just a few days ago, Elon Musk bought Twitter , and in the meantime, he has been making headlines for many reasons. Be it layoffs or major decisions, Elon Musk has been at the center of discussion throughout. Now comes new news which again suggests that the entire Twitter world could change in a big way.

Almost everyone knows about the verification badge on Twitter. It is a feature similar to Facebook's Verified Blue Badge. Twitter profiles with blue badges are considered authentic by Twitter as verified by Twitter itself.

According to a report by The Verge, this time Musk has told the employees to create a paid verification feature, which has also been told to fire them if they fail to do it within the specified time. If that's the case, the change will add more features to the existing $4.99 Twitter Blue subscription.

According to The Verge, $19.99, or about $20, will be charged in this new Twitter subscription package. Additional features with Twitter Blue include verification badges available in this subscription plan.

In that case, Twitter will charge $19.99 for this new subscription pack, which will be in the name of the existing Twitter Blue subscription. Under this plan, currently verified users will get 90 days to subscribe, if they don't subscribe they will lose the blue checkmark. According to Verge's report , if the feature is not launched by November 7, Musk will be fired from the company.

Elon Musk has already talked about how verified accounts and bot accounts can be controlled on the platform. Now after taking ownership of Twitter, these changes can finally be seen soon. Musk is bringing huge changes in just three days after buying Twitter. First he changed the Twitter page for logged out users.

Elon Musk has hired Tesla engineers as advisors on Twitter and recently plans to lay off those who haven't contributed to the company's code. It is heard that middle managers will also read this list. It is expected that this week we will see the massive action of personnel cuts.

The Twitter Blue subscription was launched a year ago, with ad-free access to news from some publishers, and other features, including a different color homescreen icon. The earnings report revealed that most of Twitter's revenue after listing as a public company came from advertising. Musk wants at least half of Twitter's revenue to come from subscription plans.
